Speaker 1:

Good morning, afternoon, evening everyone. Today I want to talk about a journey that every one of us face, whether it's the context of sobriety or other challenges in life the journey of resilience. It's about finding the strength to keep moving forward even when the road gets tough. But, more importantly, it's about learning to rely on yourself and trust that you have what it takes to overcome any obstacle. Sobriety is a personal journey and for anyone who walked this path, you know that it's not just about saying no to alcohol or any substance. It's about saying yes to yourself. It's about choosing to believe in your ability to overcome the urge, the habits and the doubts that creep in. It's about resilience, pure and simple, and many of us that resilience starts with one decision, made over and over again to rely on the strength we find within ourselves. Relying on yourself isn't about doing it alone or rejecting help. It's about recognizing the foundation of your strength comes from within. There will be days when you feel strong and capable, and there will be days when the weight of temptation feels overwhelming. In those moments, resilience means turning inward, grounding yourself in your purpose and reminding yourself why you chose sobriety in the first place. Resilience doesn't come overnight. It's built through small, consistent actions. Here are some practices that help me rely on myself throughout this journey.

Speaker 1:

Daily affirmations Every morning remind yourself of your strength. Say things like I'm resilient, I choose sobriety today, or I trust in my ability to overcome. These affirmations sets the tone for the day and reinforce the belief that you are in control. Mindful Reflection Take time each day to reflect on your progress, even if it feels like it's a small step forward. Acknowledge your win and learn from the setbacks, without judging yourself too harshly. Finding your Anchor. The setbacks without judging yourself too harshly. Finding your anchor. Whether it's meditation, exercise or a hobby that brings you joy. Have something that grounds you, a place you could turn to when you need to remind yourself of your strength.

Speaker 1:

Resilience is not just about bouncing back. It's about building a life that you are proud of, a choice at a time, one choice at a time. It's about choosing to rely on yourself, not because you don't need anyone else, but because you believe that your inner strength is the foundation upon which all other supports stand. In sobriety and in life, your ability to rely on yourself will always be your greatest asset. Thank you for letting me share this journey with you. Remember you are stronger than you think and every step forward is a step towards a better tomorrow. Stay resilient, stay sober and always stay awesome and blessed. The only way to heal is to let yourself feel Tiny steps, no distance gained, running in place like it's all the same If you're gonna leave.
