Having friends who support you is like having a personal cheer squad. They're there to celebrate your wins, help you do your tough times and give you advice when you need it. It's super important to surround yourself with people who encourage you to be your best. Avoiding bad influences Pro tips from the pros.

Sometimes we might feel tempted to do things that aren't good for us, especially if we stress or hang it out in places that make us feel uncomfortable. Here are three pro tips to keep you on track. One know your triggers, like knowing which parts of the video game are the hardest. Figure out what makes you feel like you might make a bad choice. This could be anything from feeling sad to being at certain parties. Two do fun stuff. Instead of going to places doing things where you might feel tempted, find activities that make you happy and keep you busy, whether it's sports, painting or playing music. Do what you love. I'm learning how to play the guitar right now. Three choose friends wisely. Hang out with people who respect your choices and support your goals. Two friends will want to do fun, safe activities that make you feel great.

The dangers of a bad support system. Not all support systems are helpful. A bad support system might pressure you to make poor choices, not listen when you need to talk or make you feel worse about yourself. This kind of negative environment can make it really hard to stay sober and happy. What are false support systems? Sometimes people or groups pretend to be supportive but actually lead you to the wrong way. They might say they dare for you but then encourage bad habits. It's important to be careful and choose friends who truly want what's best for you.

Main causes of relapse Relapse means going back to drinking or using drugs after trying to stop. The main causes include stress, being around others who use substances and not having a good support network. That's why having positive friends and healthy ways to deal with stress is so important? Reflections on staying sober. My own path has shown me how staying away from alcohol and drugs opens up so many opportunities to feel good, achieve goals and have genuine fun. The bright isn't about missing out. It's about gaining so much more in life and waking up sober every day, wrapping up and staying strong.
